Courtney McDonald was hired as Baylor's director of volleyball operations in January of 2015. McDonald joins head coach Ryan McGuyre's staff after spending the 2014 season in the same role at Florida State University, where McGuyre was the associate head coach. FSU finished an NCAA Tournament run reaching the quarterfinals before a loss to national runner-up BYU, Dec. 13. The Seminoles finished 30-3 in 2014.

She was a volleyball student-athlete at Auburn University from 2009-2013, finishing her career ranked 10th in the all-time Auburn record books in career hitting percentage (.252). She had 451 kills on 1,095 attacks with 175 errors for the Tigers.

The Palmetto, Fla., native earned her bachelor of arts degree in sociology and human development from Auburn in 2013.
